"Welfare exists to help students obtain accurate information on all the services and rights to which they are entitled and to provide support, mediation, advocacy and representation where appropriate".
The Welfare Department open from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and is located in the North Hanover Street Building on the 1st Floor, downstairs from the Student Association offices.
The Welfare Department is run by the Students' Association by the Vice President Support and Advice and 2 full time Welfare Advisers, Caroline and Kirsty.

Sign up for a C-Card at the Welfare Department and you can visit the department with your card whenever you need to pick up free condoms.
C-Card is confidential and we don't take any personal details - when registering for a C-Card the only information you will be asked to supply is the first part of your postcode (e.g. G4) and your date of birth.

If you need to talk to some one when the Welfare Department and University services are closed overnight then Nightline is available.
From 7pm-7am, Monday to Thursday (during term time) students can call Strathclyde and Caledonian Nightline which is a confidential listening and information service run by trained student volunteers.
